Art

In the arts, many people and things inspire me. But the first that jumps into my thoughts is, Alberto Giacometti. I am fortunate enough to live near the Fondation Beyeler museum, which has  an amazing art collection, and held an exhibition a few years ago of Giacometti's work. I love all his work, but his statues never cease to amaze me. And being able to walk amongst them was a true joy for me.

Next up, has to be for me, the American painter Georgia O'Keeffe. Her evocative paintings of especially botanicals are something I'd aspire to, as 'being someone else' would be in any way useful when it comes to making art. Here is a painting from her I saw for real recently.
